Still Here...

So it’s been almost 2 weeks since my last post!! It’s been a little busy! Okay so the Phillie's game that I was talking about got rained out..They called off the game by about 2pm, the game wasn’t until 7pm. But man did it pour buckets!! So very glad that we weren’t down there!! We had a travel game for C on Friday, 4/15 and we tied…Yes there are ties in baseball, weird right? Well they tied it up in the bottom of the 6th inning and it was way to dark to start another inning…It has been raining around here left and right!! It just won’t let up…We had C’s parent-teacher conference on 4/20 and he is doing great!! He made honor roll this marking period!! We had another travel game on 4/22 which we won 11-0!! This team is meshing so well!! They just know how to play off each other. J has a good team this year! Much different than last year…Saturday we had a friends son’s 1st birthday..It was a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse party!! They had a balloon man, Mickey Mouse character and Easter eggs filled with stickers, bubbles and bracelets!! It was a great time!! I decided to cook up some ham steak, baked Mac & Cheese and green beans for dinner!! Yummy!! It was just nice to sit at the table and eat dinner for a change! Easter morning we had to wake P up and go to my parents for breakfast along with my in-laws! We had a French Toast bake and Sausage, Egg and Cheese bake!! Then J had to leave and go fundraising at Walmart! Yes we were fundraising on Easter Sunday! People were very gracious! I put P into a nap and he slept for like 3 hours, to the point where we had to wake him to go to J’s Aunt Karen’s for Easter dinner…They do it up Italian style!! White Lasagna, meat lasagna, broshol(sp?), sausage, meatballs etc…..It was a feast!! Then the migraine hit and hit hard!! We left fairly quickly and I made it home to take 4 Ib profin, get P a bath and put to bed then I just laid on the couch for the rest of the night!! Tonight we have an in-house game at 5:45pm so as long as the rain holds out we will be good to go!! So there is my nice post about everything in the past 2 weeks! We have a doctor’s appointment tomorrow for P so I can’t wait to see how much he weighs now!!

Happy Monday!

Happy Wednesday!!

It’s Wednesday, it’s raining, it’s cold!! Enough said!!

This weather here has just been all over the place. It’s 80 degrees one day then 35 degrees and rainy!! I think that Mother Nature needs to decide what kind of weather she is going to give the east coast!! My sister keeps bragging about how her weather in Florence, Italy is like 75 degrees and sunny…Oh how lucky she is to be able to sit outside and enjoy that kind of nice weather in a beautiful city!! So yesterday I received an email from C’s baseball league and we have pictures this Saturday.  J totally forgot!! Guess at what time??? 8:15am!!!! Really??? Sooo we need to be there by 8am and that is just for his travel team, his in-house pictures are at 10:45am..Then his game is at 1pm!!! It’s going to be a busy Saturday!  J and I decided that I would not be at the in-house game at 1.  I will be at home with P getting him in for a nap and making some sausage, peppers and onions for the tailgating for the Phillies game!! His parents will be watching P for us and we will be dropping C off to his dad’s cause he works and lives down around that area of the stadium!!

This will be the 4th year that we have gone with his best friends family for their annual Phillies game…We feel blessed that they allow us to come and every year give us the invite!! We feel we are definitely part of the K-family!! We all get down there cook up some really awesome food, play some games and just enjoy the festivities…The only down fall this year is that the game is really early on in the season..Usually we get tickets for September to watch them clinch, but everything else was sold out for the amount of tickets we needed this year!! So hopefully the weather likes us and doesn’t drop buckets of rain on us!! But just in case I am buying us some ponchos so that we won’t get completely soaked if it does start pouring!!

But I guess April showers bring May flowers, right?

Happy Hump Day!!

Baseball...Baseball....Baseball

So baseball season has officially begun!! It rained and rained and rained some more on Friday…So we really didn’t think that opening day would be going off…We were pleasantly surprised on Saturday morning when we woke up to a beautiful sun shining day… It was a touch breezy but nothing that a light jacket couldn’t do! They have an opening day parade down two main streets and it was awesome…P was the perfect picture of a well behaved little one…He was running around and just having a ball (no pun intended) with some other younger kids…My father-in-law was entertaining him for a little while!! The fields were a muddy mess…They tried their best to get everything ready, but in the end our game was cancelled!! So back home we went…I got to do all the food shopping with no husband or kids!! J put P down for a nap and started the siding on the back of the house…He installed to nice recessed lights!! We then headed over to friends of ours Drew and Megan…These two have been neglected by us for some months now…So all four of us when over for dinner and the Flyers game!! Once P had enough we were headed back home to put the kids to bed… J was awake early along with C to head out to his softball game!! Well with in an hour both were home..The softball fields were a mess and they we unable to play…So J finished up out back and off to the first travel baseball game we went!! It gets really exciting as he gets older and they as a team get it more and more…P was having a grand old time running around the bleachers and petting all the dogs…C made to all-star plays…Struck out once…He is becoming a nice ball player, if he didn’t whine so damn much!! His mouth is the only one you hear out there….So J will be working on that self control issue!! It became very overcast and looked as though it was going to pour at the end of the game…We went into extra innings and pulled off the win in the bottom of the 7th 3-2!!! It was an amazing game!! After all the celebrations, we headed home and I needed to run to Wal-Mart for a few items that had slipped my mind when I was there yesterday…So J, C & P decided that they wanted to come along…I ended up buying stuff to make sausage and peppers for dinner along with ham steak, mashed potatoes & mac and cheese…It was a yummy dinner that is for sure!! Right as we were finishing up dinner the in-laws came over for a bit to visit with the kiddos!! Tomorrow marks the first in-house game, but they are calling for rain showers so God only knows if we will play!! So yes it is going to get really busy really quickly!! We have a travel game on Friday and an in-house game Saturday along with a Phillies game Saturday night…It’s going to get fun!!

Happy Monday

Still Here!!

So its Wednesday and it’s been a loooonnnngggg while since I blogged…Life gets crazy that is the whole thing about this blog…I wanted to document how crazy it gets..Little did I know that I wouldn’t have time to write…It’s been almost three weeks since my last entry, I just can’t seem to find the time to actually sit down and write…The last few weeks have been filled with baseball, baseball, oh and baseball!! Between batting, hitting and catching practice our days/weekends are booked from here until September!! LOL We also have to fit into there somewhere fundraising for the tournaments!! Wal-Mart decided this year that it was a free-for-all when signing up! We actually got one of the busiest Sundays, Easter Sunday morning!! I know, I know weird that we would fundraise on a holy day, but so many people are generous and gracious that morning for our kids..Last year we made a ton of money that morning and we were able to buy all the kids cleats, baseball bags & helmets!! When we can have all our kids uniformed in the same stuff it makes it so much nicer!! Tomorrow J and I will be going to our first Phillies game of the year…This year we have been blessed to be able to go to about 4 games as of right now!!! I get excited when J and I can have some quality mommy & daddy time…It’s not all that often that we get to enjoy a baseball game or dinner by ourselves! Speaking of which this past weekend we decided to take the kids up to Peddlers Village..It is a mix of cute little shops and outlets…Coach, Oshkosh, Carter’s, sports jersey’s…It’s just a really nice place to walk around…We had lunch at a place in the village called Hart’s Tavern…It was fabulous!! We used a gift card that my girls at work got for me for my birthday back in September…We actually have enough left to go back for a nice dinner with just the two of us…Someday…We have opening day for C’s baseball team on Saturday at 9am..I am sure it is going to be raining, windy and about 36 degrees out…That is how every opening day goes!! We then play the first game at 11am we then have a travel baseball game at 3:30 on Sunday!! So it’s going to be a busy bee weekend…Hopefully on Monday I will be able to fill everyone in on all the festivities of the weekend!!

Happy Wednesday!!

March 16, 2011

It's been a while...

So it’s been a little bit since I have written. It’s been a hectic last couple of weeks…So let me start back with Saturday, 3/5. We had a birthday party for a dear friends child over in NJ. We were all there and having a great time, towards the end of the night P started to look tired. Well as he was sitting on J’s lap he threw up all over…Kinda priceless actually..So J and P went into the bathroom to get cleaned up luckily I had a complete extra outfit for P. J had to borrow our friends extra set of pants he had. Nothing is funnier than seeing grown men gag at the smell of vomit..I know gross but it made me almost wet my pants..I had to scrub both the couch and floor they were sitting on. After that debacle P acted like nothing happened and started dancing and laughing…This kid just cracks me up..Travel baseball tryouts were Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and J had 24 kids show up. He had a VERY tough decision when picking his team…But he managed to narrow the team down to 14. That is still a pretty big team but he just couldn’t pick 12…This past Saturday we went over and had dinner with some friends that we had been neglecting over this past 3 months with the preparations of the benefit. I watch the movie “ Life As We Know It”. It was a tearjerker but also had me laughing so hard..There are things in that movie that as parents made us look at each other and just say yup we’ve done that..Sunday was the whole spring ahead thing..Let me first say that we should be able to spring ahead in 15 minute increments….This way your body had time to adjust instead of a slap in the face…It didn’t through the kids off to bad..But it sure did through me off…Not to mention J had baseball practice from 11am-3pm that day..Those poor kids..LOL Then I had the lovely pleasure of going to work and not getting home till well after 10pm. I also had requested off back in January for this coming Sunday off for my cousins daughters 1st birthday. So I take a look at the schedule and find that I was on to work..Well I was not happy to say the least. So Monday morning I marched my ass right into there and talked with our awesome manager. She helped me out and said that they must of “overlooked” it…Well whatever the reason I am now off Sunday for the party…That day also was a little hectic…My dad had what he thinks is the flu. It all started Friday for him and only got worse.. So I played get myself showered, P up and fed, C showered, dressed and fed…I do not like that feeling of being rushed around..So my father-in-law came over and took C to school and I took P to the sitters..Then had to leave work early at about 3:15 to get C from school and P from the sitters..For some reason when I got home I got really domestic. I cleaned/swept/mopped the kitchen floor all the while baking brownies and preparing stuff shells for dinner…J came home and thought he was in the wrong house...LOL Yesterday was a long ass day..My dad decided that he was well enough to take C to school but not to have P all day so off to the sitters I went at our normal time. I then had to work the second job last night and didn’t leave until 10:30pm..So if anyone is keeping track that is a 15-hour day…I am so tired…But let me rant as to why I didn’t leave until then..I had a table of 2 people come in around 7:13 to be exact…They ordered drinks and appetizer then proceeded to take about 20 minutes to order their food and also change everything around with don’t add this, sub this…So everything came out perfect cause I rock…pat myself on the back…WELL they decided to chat it up ALL night long…When I left they were still sitting at the table…God Bless the closing server who offered to clean it for me when they left…I mean you see that you are the only one in that section and still feel the need to stay?? I mean I get it maybe they wanted to catch up…But I mean for 3 hours and then some…UGH!! Plus they didn’t even tip me good!! But anyway I hope everyone has had a great couple of weeks…

Happy Wednesday!!

Holy Hell.....

Where to start….It’s been a rough week to say the least….The father-in-law was admitted back into the hospital on Thursday, the day before the benefit!! His calcium levels were over the top. His liver was in a small failure and his kidney function was not were it should have been!!  So apparently they had him taking 2000mg of calcium a day, but his body started to produce it so it was on overload…After many bags of fluid and some tweaking of his meds he seems to be doing good enough to be released today...The benefit went off without a hitch…The compliments that myself, Nikki & J received was awesome…We raised a ton of cash, a S%$# ton of cash!! Everyone was so generous and the staff at the hall were incredible! I have realized over these past couple days that I truly, madly and deeply love my family..My husband is my saving grace and my rock…I wake up every morning for my kids and to see their smiles…My mother-in-law is in a league all her own..She is a wonderful woman who takes EVERYTHING in stride!! She manages to keep her head level and make sure that she is doing what’s best for her. I will say this, my mom & dad are so important to me, without them I really don’t know where I would be…If anything ever happened to them like this I would fall to pieces..But not my hubby, he has remained strong and positive through this all…He stands by me and does what is right…His family has welcomed me into theirs like I was their own…To them I will always be grateful…With that being said, I must also do what is best for my family…After putting everything on hold for the past 12 weeks with this benefit it is now time for my family and I to get some alone time and get back to being a family…J and I have not been hanging out with the kids like we used to. We were so focused on this benefit being great that we really lost sight of our “family life”.  We are going to take a break from our friends and really get down to being with C & P…We of course will still be seeing our usual people that we have to interact with everyday but mostly just us focusing on our family...Our friends who have been seeing us on a daily basis understand what has to be done…This post is just me really realizing that the stress and drama that had taken over our lives because of this benefit, was starting to have negative outcomes on J and my marriage and home…During the benefit we would disagree about something I said, but Nikki could say the same thing only change a few words and it would be great…It was actually an inside joke between us, but just goes to show that the stress level between J and I was getting to the breaking point…Of course we would never go to bed angry or take it out in front of anyone but it was just getting to that point…Nikki has now filed for legal separation from us..LOL Until we get back into the swing of things…J and I need to find some alone time for dinner or a nice walk sometime coming up….These past 3 months have tested us…God knows it has tested us…But I think that it only has brought us closer and stronger in our marriage..It has proven that we can really make it through what would have been one of our darkest hours..That I was able to be there for my mother in law and stand strong without him by my side..But when push comes to shove J, C, P and I are all that matters in this world..They are what sustains my everyday life and why I take each breath every second of everyday. So for that I am grateful to the man upstairs…

In family life, love is the oil that eases friction, the cement that binds closer together, and the music that brings harmony.

Unconditional love is loving your kids for who they are, not for what they do ... it isn't something you will achieve every minute of every day. But it is the thought we must hold in our hearts every day.

Happy Monday!!!

It’s been a little while since my last post so thought I might bring you all up to speed!! Valentine’s Day was a normal day, like I had said before it’s definitely a hallmark holiday!! When I got home Monday night J, P & C brought in cards and a nice bouquet of flowers…It was sweet and just perfect…We actually went out to shop for a few things for the benefit, then came home and made dinner.. Tuesday I was at work all day and night between both jobs...I ended up not getting home till about 10pm. Wednesday and Thursday were both consumed with benefit shopping and making baskets..Friday was an awesome night.. We had a birthday party for J’s boss’ daughter at Bounce U. For those of you who are not familiar with this place it is a gigantic warehouse divided into two huge rooms with blow up slides and ball pits…I honestly think that J had more fun then P did..After the party P and J went back to his boss’ house while Nikki and I went to my mom’s house to do inventory and number all the baskets…We were there till about 11pm and I was exhausted!! Saturday J was supposed to go chop some wood down and split it but with 45mph winds that was not happening! We instead opted to just chill at home..Well actually I ended up going to the Super Walmart, I am really starting to hate that place…I mean don’t get me wrong it is very convenient, but the people that work there are just not right…I had asked where something was and I was looked at like I had 3 heads!! Saturday night we had a birthday party at Burger King for a friend’s child…That is such a great place..It’s contained and no cleanup or setup…Sunday was a very relaxed day. The family ended up going to Columbus Flee Market in NJ to just walk around and be outside. Once we left we had breakfast/brunch with Nik, Kev, Chy & Tyler. I had eggs, potatoes & scrapple!!!  YUMMO!!!  I went home to get P in for a nap, while J went and loaded wood onto the truck to split for the wood-burning stove!! I had to be at work by 4pm so I was rushing around trying to get all the clothes folded and done.  WORK….What a night that was last night!! Our dishwasher walked out on us during our rush..So while EVERYONE else stood around and watched the dishes pile up, I got back there and banged out a sh#$ ton of dishes…The kicker is one of the cooks said “you might want to put some gloves on, that can’t be good for your nails”. There are 2 funny things about what he said #1 He was absolutely correct & #2 scary cause he is a straight man thinking about a girls nails...We both laughed so freaking hard when I told him my thoughts...So all the while I was back there my last table sat in my section dirty and not cleared…I freaked out when not ONE server offered to help or clean it for me…They just all stood around not caring that the night manager would have been screwed if I hadn’t just banged out all those dishes..You see our cooks have to close both the line and salad bar…So they would have also had to play catch up and close dish also…So I did everything except for close it down…I am a FIRM believer in KARMA!! So here’s to it coming back to me ten fold when I work on next Sunday!! So that is the way that I finished up my weekend…Here is to a very awesome week leading up to this most important benefit…More on that later in the week!!

Happy Monday

Love...Love.....Love.....

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!!! I will say this though it is such a hallmark holiday!!! I got J a cute little card that described us to the T!!! I am feeling a little bit better, still have a lingering stuffy nose, but hey I will take that over the headache!! I went and saw Never Say Never Friday night!! Yes I am admitting that a 30 year old went and saw that movie…But not without a child!! Nikki, Chy & I went to a 10:10pm showing and there were maybe 15 of us in the theater! It was a very well put together documentary about how he was found and leading up to him selling out Madison Square Garden. It was a really cool thing to see…Minus my ears bleeding with the girls screaming in the movie!! But any who!! So Saturday was the mother in laws birthday and I had a baby shower for a good friend….It was a pretty jammed packed weekend..Selling tickets for the benefit and making a payment on the benefit….It is coming up pretty quickly and I can’t believe we only have about 70 tickets left!! Yesterday was a pretty chill day, J got all of our Christmas decorations down since the snow has un-buried them. He was on a mission to get them all down!! I am looking forward to this week’s weather! We are looking 60 degrees by Friday. All this white stuff should be long gone and melted!! Like I said I really like the snow but something’s gotta give!! So in a nut shell it’s been one heck of a weekend..This coming weekend is also full of parties and what have you…

So Happy Love Day!!!

Thursday......

Sick, Sick & still Sick!!! I feel as though the medication I am on is not working or not working quick enough!! The whole sinus infection thing is for the birds! It is t-minus 2 weeks until the benefit and we are rolling right along! We are still getting baskets from people who weren’t even originally in the count. So that is a major plus for us as far as having more and more baskets to raffle off!! J, Nikki & I are going tomorrow night to make a payment and to get everything wrapped up for them at the hall…P has a runny nose from either his teeth or just a plain cold! J God bless him is working outside this week for work. The temps here are hovering in and around 35ish but today the high is about 24. He said he is warm…I just tell him sorry every time I talk to him and wish he could be in a warmer job!! But with this economy I am just glad that he has a job to pay our bills!! Thinking about buying a thing to be able to skype with my sister in Italy! I have to check it out and see how it works with a computer and not a laptop! Also I was informed while reading her blog that its Chocolate Festival in Florence this weekend…I could only imagine the smell of yummy melting chocolate permeating through the streets. I bet it smells like Hershey, PA on crack!! AHH to be able to experience that I am so jealous!! I miss my sister so terribly!! I mean she moved out after high school and really never came home, ever!! But then they were always a drive away! Whether it was in DC or Kentucky…Now she is not a drive away, not even close. She isn’t even in the same time zone! She is 6 hours ahead of us. She is a 9-hour flight away. She is a $700 plane ticket away... They have no intention on coming home for at least a year…I guess I really never realized how much I was going to miss her until I didn’t get to see her everyday while picking up P & C from my dad! I just wish that they were closer..I know, I know they are living their dream of being there, but I guess in some ways I just wished they picked something closer!! But any who I am looking forward to a somewhat slow weekend. Not much planned only to hopefully feel better!!

Happy Thursday!!

Happy Monday!!

Holy Crap!! This weekend was a very busy one at that, with J being away and leaving me with my little man, which left only a few minutes to myself. Friday night after my long doctors appointment, which he diagnosed me with a very bad sinus infection and the start of a right ear infection! So now I am on a high-powered antibiotic and some decongestant! Friday after all that I went home to a quiet house, cause Nikki had P over for dinner. Oh FYI he also decided to bite her and then laugh in her face. He is really too much sometimes! Nik and her daughter Chy came over and we made a really long shopping night that didn’t end until 10:20pm at which P had enough! We came home and put him to bed then decided to start putting together all the baskets for the benefit. Well midnight came and went, so at about 2:45am we called it a night. Thank goodness P was thrown off his normal routine and slept until 9:45am. God love that child for being a sleeper cause C isn’t. You can send him to bed at 2am and he will still rise at about 7:30am.  Saturday the in-laws came over and spent some QT with P. Then it was my turn to spend some QT with my mom. Lunch at Ruby Tuesday’s then a quick stop at the $1 store and Target. Then it was only P and I. We had dinner and played until about 8:30 when he was finally starting to fade. I then decided to start watching Twilight New Moon and Twilight Eclipse!! Loved them both!! Also at about 11pm started baking some brownies and muffins. 200 to be exact!! The vultures at work ate them all…They sure do love my baking, even if it is from a box!! Sunday Nik came back over and we finished up 3 more baskets then shipped them over to my parent’s spare bedroom to store until the benefit! Never really imagined all that goes into a benefit!! Got to watch most of the Super Bowl at work but we were pretty steady all night. Funniest commercial was the Pepsi commercial were the lady threw the can and knocked out the girl on the bench…Classic!! Once my shift was over I came home folded some laundry then went to bed! Feeling a little better this am but not by much!! This sinus infection needs to hit the road quickly!!

Happy Monday!!!

TGIF!!!

TGIF!! It’s been a very long week!! It actually all started Sunday night with not getting out of work until 11pm. Then Monday was month-end at the 1st job and I didn’t get out of there until 10:45pm. Which I am not really complaining about because that is good for the overtime paycheck!! Then on Tuesday I didn’t get out of work till 10pm. So I think that my body is saying slow down, cause I am now sick! I have a doctor’s appointment today to get checked out and hopefully get a prescription for some good medicine! But you know in complete Jaime fashion I am going shopping with Nikki tonight for the benefit!! But on a side note, J is headed up to the mountains with his brother for the Sportsman Show this weekend…yee haw!  C is going to the Villanova vs. WV basketball game with his step-moms family this weekend so he is excited about that. So it’s just little man and me this weekend. He is such a good little shopper and such a good sport when out and about, which makes it very easy when I am by myself!! Oh and the t-shirts are in for the benefit. Nikki’s hubby Kevin picked them up for us yesterday. Speaking of them let me just say a few things. They have been an awesome thing in our lives since the dad in-law suffered his brain aneurysm. That first night/day was pretty bad. Nikki came over that night at about 10pm and cooked us a nice dinner. She has listened to us, folded my laundry ( her ADD) and just gave us 110% of her friendship, which we couldn’t have done without! They are a part of our extended family now and forever. Without them most all of this would not have been possible..So if I haven’t said it enough Nikki, Kevin, Chy and Ty you all rock and thanks for letting your mom spend more time with us rather then with you these past 2 months..LOVE YOU ALL!! Our other friends, you know who you are, have offered so much and donated so much to us. Your time and patience with us does not go un-noticed!  This is going to be a successful benefit because you all are helping out! THANK YOU…Okay so now that I got out of the way. The snow is melting slowly. Very slowly! But not to jinx us they are not mentioning any snow in the forecast! Which is the first in about 5 weeks or so!! Now that the snow might have moved out I am stressing less about the weather for the benefit.. My major concern in three weeks will be the parking at the hall. But I need to really stop obsessing about things I can’t control..At least that is what I am told!!

So to everyone have a great & safe weekend!! Oh Miss you sister!!

Ice Ice Baby...

So waking up today everything is covered in a nice sheet of ice.

When I say everything I mean right down to the power lines, trees and a nice coating on the 16 inches of snow still out there on the ground!
This is a picture that hubby took of pop and P making a snowman during the storm last week.

I mean I really love snow. I really really do, BUT not ice and only like snow if I am on a ski slope cruising down a nice black diamond. Not having to drive, shovel or salt it! The weather people said "It's going to be a mild winter!" Pish Posh, I call bull!! I highly doubt that 2 1/2 feet of snow already counts as a mild winter!! I am really in the wrong business, I need to be a weather forecaster! I swear that is the only job where you can be 99.999% wrong and still always have a job!! I really think that when profits for the food stores are down they call the weather people and say hey predict a nice size storm!! The storm that we were "supposed" to get Monday and yesterday was supposed to include 1-3 inches of snow..Well that didn't happen..But I am sure there was no bread, milk or eggs to be found!! Oh and C woke up to a 2 hour delay this morning. Makes no sense but hey that's why I pay my taxes for people to make those calls!!  END RANT

Onto other things!! We are having a fundraiser tonight at a place called CiCi's to raise money for the dad in-law. They are giving us 10% of all there sales tonight for whomever brings in a flyer that we handed out. This place is awesome! So much so that we already booked a fundraiser for our boys baseball travel team in May. AHHH baseball is going to start soon which means our life as we know it will be filled with practices, fundraisers and more practice!! J will be having tryouts in a few weeks and having to pick only a lucky 13 boys is hard! J loves these boys like his own. He would have an 18 man team if he could, but he can't. So it pains him to have to make a call to the parents to tell them he doesn't think that boy is ready yet. But he does it with grace and tells them maybe next year. I mean they are only 9-10 so the skill might not be fully there. So that will all soon return to our daily routine!

The benefit is t-minus 3 weeks away and the planning is going full speed ahead! We actually attended a benefit Saturday for a dear friends dad. There were 12 of them rocking out this benefit!! We on the other hand have myself, J & Nikki. So I think that we are rock stars and have everything under control! We have about 40 total baskets to be won! The only problem I can foresee is transporting them all to the hall without damaging them. But we will recruit our friends with trucks to make the traveling easier. So after all this is said and done I am going to need a nice relaxing weekend!!

So here is to a great Wednesday!!

What a Weekend!!

So this weekend was pretty jammed packed! We started out Friday night going to one of my husbands favorite pizza places, Palermos in NJ. I mean this man could eat a whole tomato pie by himself. Along for the ride was my brother in-law, mother in-law & father in-law. We completely housed wings, potato skins & chicken fingers just for starters. Then we moved onto a plain pizza with half sausage, a white pizza and a tomato pie without garlic. It was so tasty!!  P was really cranky and well overdue to sleep, but made it through by eating 2 slices all by himself along with numerous other things. The following morning we headed out to IHOP for some all you can eat pancakes. Who doesn't love all you can eat pancakes? So after we stuffed ourselves to the max with all that nice heavy food, we had to do some overdue running around! We headed to Bj's, Babies R Us, Walmart and a few other places for the benefit coming up. Speaking of benefit, I attended one for a dear friend of ours dad. He passed away right before Christmas. While we were there I put in to win either an Ipad or Ipod. Well I WON AN IPOD TOUCH!!! This is the first time I have ever really won anything and boy was I happier than a pig in you know what!! Now I just have to figure out how to use it! My sister is the Apple savy one so I will have to rely on my dad to show me the ropes!! AHH my sister, she is doing very well in Italy, you should really check out her blog its in my blog roll. She is a very talented writer. Sunday was a day of catch up on sleep. J had a really good night at the benefit so needless to say the morning was not so great for him. But I got my motivation and baked almost 100 mini muffins and brownie bites for my GM at my second job that was leaving. He is an awesome manager and will be missed once they bring a completely new hired weenie into our already very nicely established family! We really don't like change so this will be an interesting transition for us. So as I write today I am getting ready for a very long day at work. I have to work month end tonight which means my day won't end till about 9pm est. Which means both boys if not all three might be well asleep once I get home. So here is to a Happy Monday for all!

Here I go...

So here I am out in the blog world. I have been wanting trying to start this up after reading some really good blogs over the course of the last few months. My family life will be getting busier in the next month once baseball practice starts. Plus my sister and her husband decided to move to Italy this month, so this will be a nice way for her to see what were up to. You see, my hubby J is an avid coach. He played all growing up and is one of a kind. He has had the same kids since they were 5. He not only coaches an in-house team, but also a travel team and district team. Lucky me!!  My oldest son C is going to be 10. He is all boy, and starting to get mouthy and telling me how hard his life is. J has helped me raise him since he was 15 months old. A pretty big job beings that J was only a fresh 20 when we met! My younger son P was a long time coming. We had tried for about 4 years to have another child. Finally he was here. P is a smart little cookie that doesn't stop from the minute he wakes up till its bedtime. I was very worried about the age gap (8 yrs) would be a big problem, but to my surprise C is a great big brother! Not that there hasn't been some trial and error. We also have 2 dogs. Both are pitty mixes and I don't care what people say about them, raise them right and they will love you unconditionally for life!! Oh and before I forget I will also be blogging about the progress my father-in-law is making at home after experiencing a massive brain aneurysm back in November. There will be an occasional rant on here about a benefit we are having at the end of February for him and all the stress that comes with taking that task on! Other than that I hope everyone enjoys the reading of my blog!
